The Annexe Project was a shelter for me for 2 hours every Saturday for 2 years. Amidst my busy weekly schedule, Alvin’s effective tutorage brushed up my measly mathematical knowledge and pushed me to pursue excellence in my academics. The meagre C in my Integrated Programme EOY results leaped to an A for my A-levels. I truly believe that without Alvin’s help, I would not have been able to achieve my As.
After a short period in the Annexe Project, I ended up finding out that I had a much better understanding of the topics than my peers in school. The edge I had above them would only have been possible with help from Alvin. Lessons and concepts were delivered in a comprehensive and concise manner. I was drilled to do a range of question types from the typical to the bizarre. The wide spectrum of knowledge I had equipped me with the ability to tackle even the most perplexing questions in my A-Levels.
Alvin’s innate talent to infect students with the passion for learning was key in nurturing an interest for math within me. I think that was the defining characteristic of The Annexe Project for me. Alvin constantly encouraged me to clear my doubts, work harder and further my thinking. That inspired in me a strong work ethic to conquer my academics and surpass my expectations for every examination.
