Before joining The Annexe Project in 2018, I used to score poorly for Additional Mathematics. It was all the more disappointing because I was never able to score more than a B4. At that point, I could not even imagine getting an A.
My parents signed me up for Alvin’s Additional Math tuition class but since I dreaded A-Math, I was initially reluctant to join The Annexe Project. But Alvin’s classes were a pleasant surprise. The unique teaching method he employed was enough persuasion for me to stay on and continue lessons. Alvin’s fun personality also added an enjoyable element to his functional way of teaching, making lessons very effective. Math became much simpler to me as I was able to grasp concepts that I used to struggle with.
Alvin was extremely motivating as he explained Math problems with such clarity that I fully understood even the most challenging Math solutions. The notes he produced were of an excellent standard, and often featured extra practices covering a wide spectrum of different problem sums of varying levels of difficulty. He extends genuine care to all his students and gives us helpful advice to better ourselves. Because of Alvin’s dedication to his students, I placed my full confidence in him. Eventually, I got an A1 in A-Math for my O-Levels! Alvin, thank you so much for being an amazing tutor as I would have been unable to do this if not for your help.
