I would like to start off by saying how immensely grateful I am to have been part of The Annexe Project.
I joined the centre in 2016 when I was in Secondary 4, as I was struggling with Additional Mathematics. In the span of a few months, I was able to pull up my grades from E6s and D7s to achieving a stellar grade of A2 for my O-levels. This impressive feat wowed me and I had to stay on to continue my journey at The Annexe Project.
Having witnessed the amazing results I achieved with Alvin’s help, I enrolled for Junior College lessons with Annexe. As I struggle with Math, this turned out to be a wise decision because Annexe provided me with much-needed guidance during the critical months leading up to my A-levels. Although Math is not my strongest subject, Annexe’s enriching lessons allowed me to clinch a distinction in H2 Mathematics for A-levels!
What sets the Annexe Project apart from other tuition centres is the homely atmosphere of the centre. The friendly tutors, students and staff have left a lasting impression on me as friendly conversations with them comforted me during the gruelling weeks leading up to the A-levels. The snack-filled pantry also adds to my love for the centre.
Alvin is an outstanding teacher who goes beyond his job of teaching, and bonds with his students by creating memorable connections with us. He also makes his lessons interesting and easy-to-understand by sharing great study tips and resourceful shortcuts.
The Annexe Project has helped me tremendously during my school days, and I’m certain that I definitely wouldn’t have achieved my As if it were not for Alvin’s constant help and guidance. To whoever is thinking of joining the Annexe Project, my advice is: hesitate no further, you definitely won’t regret your decision!
