Privacy Policy

The Annexe Project (“we”) collects personal data only to answer enquiries, enrol students and deliver online lessons. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to reach us, in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Last updated 15 September 2026.

What we collect

  • Enquiry and trial forms: the student’s level, subject and current grade; the parent’s or student’s name, email address and phone number; any message you write.
  • Enrolment: the student’s name, school and level, a contact number and email for the parent, and payment records for fees.
  • Lessons: classes are conducted on Zoom and are recorded so that students can revise. Recordings show the tutor’s whiteboard and may capture students’ audio or video if their camera or microphone is on.
  • Website analytics: we use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies and records pages visited, approximate location and device type. No form contents are sent to analytics.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and recommend a class (we email enquiries@theannexeproject.com and may reply by WhatsApp).
  • To schedule lessons, send Zoom links, notes, homework and recordings, and to report a student’s progress to parents.
  • To invoice and record fee payments.
  • To improve the website.

We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party marketing. With written permission we may publish a student’s name, school, grade and testimonial on this website; permission can be withdrawn at any time.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run lessons and the website: Zoom (video classes), Google (email, storage, analytics), our web host in Singapore and WhatsApp for messaging. Each processes data under its own privacy terms.

Retention

Enquiries that do not lead to enrolment are deleted within 12 months. Enrolment and fee records are kept for as long as a student is enrolled and for the period required by tax and accounting rules. Lesson recordings are kept for the duration of the course and deleted after.

Students under 18

Most of our students are minors. We collect their data from a parent or guardian, or from the student with a parent’s knowledge, and correspond with the parent on enrolment, fees and progress.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you or your child, or withdraw consent, by emailing enquiries@theannexeproject.com. We reply within 30 days. Our data protection officer can be reached at the same address.

Cookies

This site sets analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) and functional cookies needed for the enquiry form. You can block cookies in your browser without affecting the lessons.
